Account Manager

Battenhall is the communications agency for the social media age. We’re shaping the future of communications through the power of social media, harnessing technology and innovative ways of working to do things differently. We’re now looking to expand the team to support our ongoing record growth.

Account Manager role

Battenhall is an integrated agency, with skilled professionals across social media (organic and paid), PR, influencer marketing, data and insights, design and creative, and more. You should have a genuine passion for the comms industry, as well as a desire to continue to grow your skill set and that of your colleagues and line reports.

Account Managers are the glue of the team, typically managing day-to-day activity as agreed in the SoWs, and ensuring that we can keep delivering excellent results across retained clients and project work.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Managing client teams and their workloads on a day-to-day basis, under the lead of Senior Account Managers, Account Directors, and other client leads
  • Being the key point of contact for clients and building relationships across your client portfolio
  • Finding opportunities for growth within your existing client roster, and supporting your peers with idea generation and the development of additional work
  • Scoping out new projects for existing clients and working with senior members of the team to scope new business
  • Taking an active role in client and new biz brainstorms, developing ideas with the client brief in mind
  • Working successfully as a global team, collaborating with team members in the UK, US and other regional markets to manage clients and plan resources
  • Working across multiple accounts and projects at the same time.
  • Line managing 1-2 Account Executives / Junior Account Executives, helping to develop their learning and understanding of client and agency ways of working

What we’re looking for:

  • Industry expertise: minimum 3 years’ experience in a social media, digital comms, design or PR agency, or working in a communications or marketing department in-house
  • Comms pro: outstanding verbal English, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to write exceptional copy
  • Positive team-player: confident in your abilities, able to share knowledge with the wider team, and develop your specialist skills
  • Project management enthusiast: confidence in managing SoWs, timelines, resourcing and client budgets, with excellent attention to detail
  • Natural innovator: ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative global team, identifying improvements to ways of working and collaborating with directors to implement positive change
  • Time-management guru: comfortable working to tight deadlines and meeting all the demands and pressures of teams and clients. You will need to work quickly and efficiently without compromising on quality
  • Self-driven trailblazer: motivated by success with an entrepreneurial, self-starter attitude
  • Multi-tasking wizard: ability to work across multiple global accounts at the same time.
