We’re proud to formally launch Battenhall Labs, our global innovation unit focused on developing and applying emerging technologies across marketing and communications. This is a really exciting time for us all, because we've been working on the model in beta for a couple of years and it's proven to be essential in dealing with the increasing pace of change across our clients.
Since Battenhall was founded, we’ve taken deliberate steps to work in an innovation-first way. Battenhall Labs formalises this mission, bringing together communications specialists, technologists and data teams from our London, New York, Los Angeles and Singapore teams to experiment with new tools, test emerging platforms, and turn complex data into practical insights for brands.
This is important now more than ever, as brands face increasing pressure to adopt AI, advanced analytics, and new technologies at speed – often without clear guidance, frameworks for measurement, governance or real-world application.
Core capabilities of Battenhall Labs
Battenhall Labs is first and foremost a mindset, and from this we've created a number of proprietary tools built and developed in-house by our specialists, which are already being used successfully with clients.
Meteor
Meteor is an opinionated social media measurement tool, built from the ground up to streamline how we report for clients and offer bespoke, customisable dashboards aligned to client KPIs. It's designed to focus on the metrics that we know from experience matter to social media managers and executive teams. It's also closely linked to our Insights team to deliver analysis fast.
Community management engagement tracker
This tool enables clients to understand the impact of engagement activity within their brand community (owned channels) and beyond into external communities, so they can plan social engagement activity with maximum effect.
AI personas
Our in-house specialists can use AI to craft bespoke brand personas, enabling us to dive into the thought processes of audiences, unearth crucial insights, and explore new ideas with the persona acting as a sounding board and filter.
AI agents
Battenhall’s Agents platform helps brands deploy custom AI workflows and agents in a safe and scalable way. We can train agents on brand knowledge and provide access to proprietary data warehouses, with an evaluation framework to help monitor and continually improve performance.
Bespoke data analytics and dashboards
Outside our core suite of tools, we also work with clients requiring a tailored analytics and measurement tool to build something even more bespoke, with custom workflows to give the intelligence needed.
Workshops and immersion sessions
In addition to product development, Battenhall Labs also runs discovery sessions and immersion workshops to help in-house teams understand how emerging technologies can be applied responsibly and effectively within existing marketing and communications structures.
